New to Safe Lists?

This FAQ will help you get started.

1. Get a free e-mail address aside from your regular e-mail.  You will receive tons and tons of mail so look for a high capacity e-mail program such as Yahoo, The Mail, or Hotmail.
2. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER spam a list.  If you don’t follow the rules, the list owner can turn you in to your ISP and you can lose your access.  Follow the rules EXPLICITLY.
3. Never cross-post – that is, don’t send an MLM ad to a Church Group.
4. Never respond to an ad with your own ad unless the sender has specifically requested more information.  This can get you banned.
5. Start with one or two free lists, and one or two paid lists.  As you get more experienced, you can join the larger programs.
6. Vary your e-mail messages.  Rotate your offerings and don’t send the same program over and over.  This is sure to get your ad passed over.
7. Very your headlines.  Make them attention getting but believable.
8. Keep your ad SHORT.  The shorter the better.  The idea is to attract attention to your site, not to give all the information in one shot.
9. Keep your promises! If you promise a bonus or to sign up for someone’s program, do it.  Word gets around if you don’t keep your word.
10. Keep your mailbox cleaned out.  One bounced message from a full mailbox can get you banned for all lists.
11. Give credit where credit is due.  If you were referred by someone, allow them the credit for you.  When it’s your turn for credit, you’ll get it.
12. If you don’t already have one, get a PayPal account.  Affiliate payments and buying into lists require a PayPal account, It’s free.
